Salve Health Care

Meet some of our caregivers.

Every Salve caregiver is trained, named, and matched to your family on purpose. We're a small team across BC's Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Here are a few of the caregivers on our team.

Portrait of Sweet

Caregiver

Sweet, HCA

Sweet has been with Salve since September 2023, with three years caregiving overall. Before this she'd been a business-marketing graduate back home, then a chef by profession, then a stint in the accounting department of an immigration company until eight hours a day at a screen burned her out. She's a licensed Health Care Assistant. Most of her work is with seniors and with clients recovering from surgery: the daily tasks, mobility, the small things that add up to feeling safe at home. Meals and the rhythm of someone's day are where she puts the most care. Off shift she's a homebody. She cooks, reads, and has friends over for movies.

Sweet was a chef before she was a caregiver. It shows at mealtimes.

Portrait of Antonina

Caregiver

Antonina

Antonina has been caregiving for nine years, three of them at Salve. Before joining she worked privately for a family in Taiwan. Her training is from the Philippines: a Caregiver Training Certificate, a Caregiver Course Certificate, and clinical-exposure certificates in pediatrics, geriatrics, and the dietary department. Dementia care is where she feels most at home. Patience and reading what someone needs before they ask are the parts of the work she's particularly good at. Off shift she gardens and reads, and she's a traveller. When she can't be on the road she reads about countries and their histories, planning the next trip.

Antonina is most at home in dementia care. She notices what someone needs before they ask.

Portrait of Arman

Caregiver

Arman

Arman has been with Salve for over two years, with about three years total in caregiving across home-care agencies, residential facilities, and family settings. He's CPR-certified and works most often with seniors who have dementia, with clients recovering from surgery, and with people living with disabilities. Families know him as the caregiver who shows up bubbly and walks them through the day without fuss. Off shift he cooks, lifts, reads, makes content, and takes himself somewhere new whenever the calendar allows.

Arman shows up bubbly, families tell us, and walks them through the day without fuss.
