Many White Rock families don't need full-day care, just a few hours a week, the right kind. Our caregivers cover Marine Drive and the waterfront, Five Corners and Hilltop, East Beach and Centennial Park, and the rest of the city, on schedules that fit working families.
Older adults whose family wants them to stay in their own home, with help. The 'eyes-on a few times a week' service that prevents the bigger crises.
Hours and schedule
Four-hour minimum per visit. Most families start with one to three visits a week and adjust over time.
§
Company, errands, and a watchful eye.
In a city of long retirements, the quiet risk is isolation: the spouse passes, the friends thin out, and the days go silent before anyone notices. White Rock hourly care pushes back on all of it at once: a shared meal, the groceries done together, the medication remembered, the conversation had. The caregiver's notes give family the honest texture of the week, which for adult children at a distance is worth as much as the errands.
§
Hourly home care in White Rock: what families ask.
Dad says he doesn't need help, just misses people. Which service is that?
This one. Companionship and supervision lead the hourly-care list deliberately: the meal and the errand are real, but the company is the medicine. It's also the gentlest way for help to arrive without being called help.
Can we adjust as winter comes?
Yes: many White Rock families add hours in the darker months when outings shrink and isolation bites harder, then ease back in summer.
Where in White Rock we deliver.
We see White Rock families in Marine Drive and the waterfront, Five Corners and Hilltop, East Beach and Centennial Park, and West Beach and Bayview.
What it costs, and how families pay for it (extended health, VAC, CSIL,
and more), is laid out in costs and coverage. The people behind the visits are here: meet our caregivers.
