Delta families coming home from Delta Hospital usually need the same thing the first week: someone to follow the discharge plan when family can't be there all day. Salve covers that across Tsawwassen and Beach Grove, Ladner and Ladner Village, North Delta and Sunshine Hills, and the rest of Delta.

Who it's for
Families whose loved one is coming home after surgery, a hospital stay, or a fall. With registered nurses on the team and a BC HCP license, we cover both the personal-care and the clinical sides of recovery: wound care, infusions, medication management, the lot.
Hours and schedule
Most families start with daily visits in the first week, then taper. Four-hour minimum per visit. Days, evenings, overnights, or 24-hour care depending on what the recovery calls for.
§
Home is the third hospital.
Delta recoveries often involve two hospitals before home: the procedure at VGH or Surrey Memorial, a stretch at Delta Hospital, then the house in Ladner or Tsawwassen where the actual recovering happens. We pick up at the front door (medication schedules reconciled, wounds monitored, mobility rebuilt at the pace the discharge plan sets), and because Delta's three communities sit a real drive apart, the schedule is built around your loved one's town, not a regional average.
§
Post-hospital recovery in Delta: what families ask.
The surgery was in Vancouver. Does the handover still work?
Yes. We work from whichever hospital's discharge summary comes home (transfers between hospitals are normal for Delta), and the family doctor's orders carry it from there.
Can the first nights be covered too?
Yes. Overnights are available from the first night home, which is often when families discover the recovery is bigger than the daytime made it look.
Where in Delta we deliver.
We see Delta families in Tsawwassen and Beach Grove, Ladner and Ladner Village, North Delta and Sunshine Hills, and Annieville and Nordel.
What it costs, and how families pay for it (extended health, VAC, CSIL,
and more), is laid out in costs and coverage. The people behind the visits are here: meet our caregivers.
