Salve Health Care

Post-hospital recovery in Surrey

Surrey families coming home from Surrey Memorial Hospital usually need the same thing the first week: someone to follow the discharge plan when family can't be there all day. Salve covers that across Newton and Sullivan Heights, Guildford and Fraser Heights, Cloverdale and Clayton, and the rest of Surrey.

What's included.

Who it's for

Families whose loved one is coming home after surgery, a hospital stay, or a fall. With registered nurses on the team and a BC HCP license, we cover both the personal-care and the clinical sides of recovery: wound care, infusions, medication management, the lot.

Hours and schedule

Most families start with daily visits in the first week, then taper. Four-hour minimum per visit. Days, evenings, overnights, or 24-hour care depending on what the recovery calls for.

Recovery, the Surrey version.

Surrey Memorial moves people home fast, and the city's size means family help is often a twenty-minute drive away rather than down the street. So Surrey recoveries lean harder on the schedule: daily visits in the first week, timed around whoever can be there in the evenings. The caregiver tracks the discharge plan (medications, dressing changes, the first careful walks) and writes down what the follow-up appointment will want to know. When the plan includes clinical work, an RN visit from the same team slots in alongside.
