North Vancouver families coming home from Lions Gate Hospital usually need the same thing the first week: someone to follow the discharge plan when family can't be there all day. Salve covers that across Central Lonsdale and Lower Lonsdale, Lynn Valley and Lynn Creek, Deep Cove and Seymour, and the rest of North Vancouver.

Who it's for
Families whose loved one is coming home after surgery, a hospital stay, or a fall. With registered nurses on the team and a BC HCP license, we cover both the personal-care and the clinical sides of recovery: wound care, infusions, medication management, the lot.
Hours and schedule
Most families start with daily visits in the first week, then taper. Four-hour minimum per visit. Days, evenings, overnights, or 24-hour care depending on what the recovery calls for.
§
Recovering where the ground isn't flat.
The North Shore adds physics to recovery: front steps, sloped driveways, winter rain on both. Lions Gate discharge plans rarely mention any of it, so our first visit maps the terrain and the plan absorbs it: indoor mobility before outdoor, the dry route to the car, handholds that actually exist. The clinical rhythm runs underneath: medications on schedule, wounds monitored, strength rebuilt at the speed the plan sets.

Post-hospital recovery in North Vancouver: what families ask.
Does the rain change anything?
It changes the sequence. Outdoor mobility work waits for safe conditions, indoor work fills the gaps, and the route to appointments gets planned for wet steps. The recovery routes around the weather.
How soon after a Lions Gate discharge can visits start?
Often the day of discharge, if the 15-minute call happens during the stay. Lions Gate families calling from the ward get the smoothest handover: the caregiver is at the house for the homecoming.
Where in North Vancouver we deliver.
We see North Vancouver families in Central Lonsdale and Lower Lonsdale, Lynn Valley and Lynn Creek, Deep Cove and Seymour, Edgemont and Capilano, Upper Lonsdale and Tempe, and Norgate and Pemberton Heights.
What it costs, and how families pay for it (extended health, VAC, CSIL,
and more), is laid out in costs and coverage. The people behind the visits are here: meet our caregivers.
