Family caregivers across West Vancouver often reach the point of needing a break before they reach the point of asking. Salve provides scheduled respite (a few hours, a weekend, longer if needed) across Ambleside and Hollyburn, Dundarave and West Bay, British Properties and Chartwell, with caregivers your loved one already trusts.

Who it's for
Family caregivers who've been at this long enough to know they need a break. The first call is the hardest; it gets easier.
Hours and schedule
Anywhere from four hours to a full week. We cover days, evenings, overnights, and around-the-clock multi-shift coverage when the situation needs it.
§
Leave properly. Everything holds.
West Vancouver's family carers often have the means to travel and no real way to use them: leaving means trusting someone else with the whole arrangement. Respite makes that trust concrete: the same caregiver who already knows the house and the routines covers the days or the week, multi-shift where needed, with handoff notes at both ends. The trip happens; the standards don't move.
§
Respite for family caregivers in West Vancouver: what families ask.
We travel for two or three weeks at a time. Possible?
Respite runs to a full week as a standard arrangement; for longer stretches we plan it as ongoing care with multi-shift coverage. Raise the dates on the 15-minute call and we'll structure it honestly.
How do we know how it went while we're away?
The notes don't pause because you're travelling: written after every visit, sent however you prefer, with a phone call for anything that shouldn't wait for your return.
Where in West Vancouver we deliver.
We see West Vancouver families in Ambleside and Hollyburn, Dundarave and West Bay, British Properties and Chartwell, Sandy Cove and Caulfeild, and Horseshoe Bay and Eagle Harbour.
What it costs, and how families pay for it (extended health, VAC, CSIL,
and more), is laid out in costs and coverage. The people behind the visits are here: meet our caregivers.
