Burnaby Hospital sends people home to a particular kind of housing stock: towers at Metrotown and Brentwood, post-war houses on Capitol Hill with the bedroom upstairs. Recovery planning starts with that geography (where the bed should live for a month, how the elevator trip works with a walker) and then runs the standard discipline: medications on time, wounds monitored, notes written for the follow-up.
