Salve Health Care

Post-hospital recovery in Coquitlam

Coquitlam families coming home from Eagle Ridge Hospital usually need the same thing the first week: someone to follow the discharge plan when family can't be there all day. Salve covers that across Town Centre and Westwood Plateau, Maillardville and Maillardville Park, Burke Mountain and Partington, and the rest of Coquitlam.

What's included.

Who it's for

Families whose loved one is coming home after surgery, a hospital stay, or a fall. With registered nurses on the team and a BC HCP license, we cover both the personal-care and the clinical sides of recovery: wound care, infusions, medication management, the lot.

Hours and schedule

Most families start with daily visits in the first week, then taper. Four-hour minimum per visit. Days, evenings, overnights, or 24-hour care depending on what the recovery calls for.

The bridge between discharge and independence.

Coquitlam's recovering patients tend to come home from Eagle Ridge to houses with levels (a Westwood Plateau split-level, stairs to the only full bathroom) while the adult children are an hour away in traffic. Recovery visits bridge exactly that: the daytime hours nobody can cover, spent on medications, wound checks, and mobility work matched to the actual staircase. The family gets notes instead of guesswork, and the recovery gets supervision instead of luck.
